Filmfare Best Film Awards from 2000-2009

Filmfare Awards is the most sought after awards in India.Beginning in the year 1954,Filmfare Awards witnessed some of the best films coming into limelight and getting the recognition that it deserves.
The turn of the century that is the year 2000 has its share of Awards.Let us look at some of Best Film Awards starting from the year 2000.

The Award for the Best Film in 2000 went to Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali satrring the then love couple Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai.The following year(2001) saw Kaho Na Pyaar Hai directed by Rakesh Roshan.The film was made to launch the director's son Hrithik Roshan who is now counted among the most successful stars.In the following year that is the 2002,the Best Film Award went to Lagaan directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar starring Aamir Khan.The film was nominated for the Oscars.

In 2003,this Award was won by Devdas produced by Bharat Shah.The film was made to pay tribute to the original film Devdas starring Dilip Kumar.Koi Mil Gaya won the Filmfare Best Film Award in 2004,Veer Zara starring Shahrukh Khan,Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta in 2005,Black directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Amitabh Bachchan in 2006 ,Rang De Basanti in 2007,Tare Zameen Par in 2008 and finally Jodha Akbar starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in the year 2009.
