Blockbuster hit of the year 2000, 'Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai' was directed by Rakesh Roshan. His son Hrithik Roshan made a grand debut with this movie. 'Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai' starred handsome hunk Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel in the lead roles. Famous actor of the Indian Film Industry, Anupam Kher played the role of Amisha Patel's father in the movie.

It was a debut film of both the stars which broke all the records at the box office. In 'Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai' Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan played a double role, the record breaking success of the movie made him an overnight star. Rakesh Roshan's 'Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai' was the top grossing movie of the year 2000, the movie was entitled with eight Filmfare Awards. You would be amazed to know that, in the movie the role of Sonia was first cast with happening diva of the Indian Film Industry, Kareena Kapoor, the lady walked out out of the picture a few days after shooting had commenced. After that, she was replaced with a newcomer Kareena Kapoor.

The actress became a hot favourite of everyone after it's record breaking success at the ticket window. 'Kaho Naa.. Pyaar Hai's chart buster music brought Rajesh Roshan the Filmfare best music director award again after 25 years. Rakesh Roshan was entitled with his first ever Filmfare awards, he got the award for being the director as well as the producer. The grand success of the movie inspired Rakesh Roshan(father) and Hrithik Roshan(son) to go on to make several more hits.
