Awards’ List of Dev D

The movie Dev D was released in the year 2009. It belongs to the genre of Hindi romantic drama movies. Directed and written by Anurag Kashyap, the movie gained a lot of fame because of its modern style take on Devdas – a novel written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay.


Earlier also few movies have been made on the same novel. The recent one before Dev D was Devdas which starred Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri dixit in the lead roles. The movie Dev D starred Abhay Deol, Mahi Gill and Kalki Koechlin in the lead roles. The movie presented itself in a totally different, innovative and interesting style and won many awards.
