Star dust Award 2010

2010 star dust awards took place in Mumbai,bollywood actor, actress and many other famous artists were there to attend the ceremony of Max Stardust Award Ceremony 2010.Programme was hosted by the celebrities and bollywood stars were performing and giving and taking awards.

Best Film of Stardust Awards 2010 was awarded to 'Chintuji', Preity Zinta for the Best Actress for the film 'Videsh', Star of the Year was Amitabh Bachcan for Paa and Kareena Kapoor won star of the Female for 'Kurbaan' and '3 Idiots'

IIFA Glamorous Actor Award

The IIFA Glamorous actor of the Year Award was chosen by the viewers, and the winners for this award were Preity Zinta in 2006, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan in 2007.




The glamorous girl Preity Zinta was selected as the first brand ambassador for GoAir, a new airline service owned by Jeh Wadia from Wadia Group and also walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra's display Fashion Week 2006, along with actress Kajol.

Preity Zinta will be seen in Main Aur Mrs Khanna which is expected to release on October 16, 2009. The actress is also shooting for Har Pall which is directed by Jahnu Barua.

In 2005, Harpers and Queen's list of 10 Most beautiful women in the world ranked Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at the 9th spot. The upcoming movies of the actress are Raavan, Action Replay and Guzaarish.

The style icon Hrithik Roshan's upcoming movie titled Kites with Barbara Mori is running under post-production and another film featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Guzaarish will be completed next year.

Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie (2000-2009)

The Filmfare Awards are the oldest and most prominent film awards given for Hindi films in India. The yearly awards started in 1953. Movie awards were first given by popular vote. Many complained that films of artistic merit rather than commercial appeal were being overlooked, hence a new award category was added, the Critics Award for Best Movie.

2000 Sarfarosh - John Matthew Matthan The film dealt with an Indian police officer's fight to stop cross-border terrorism and starred Aamir Khan in the role of an IPS Officer.

2001 Halo - Santosh Sivan It tells the story of Sasha (Benaf Dadachandji) who is searching for her lost puppy in the streets of Mumbai and the variety of people that she meets.It also won National Film Award for Best Children's Film.

2002 Dil Chahta Hai - Farhan Akhtar Written and directed by then-newcomer Farhan Akhtar, starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia. The plot was set in modern-day urban Mumbai and focuses on a major period of transition in the lives of three young friends.

2003 The Legend of Bhagat Singh - Rajkumar Santoshi The film shows in detail how Singh came to develop his views on the British Raj and his struggle for Indian independence and starred Ajay Devgan, Sushant Singh, and Ian Davies.


2004 Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. - Rajkumar Hirani The story involves protagonist, Munna Bhai, (Sanjay Dutt), a goon, going to medical school. He is helped by his sidekick, Circuit (Arshad Warsi).

2005 Yuva - Mani Ratnam The prime objective of the movie was to motivate educated Indian youths to enter politics.The film tells the stories of three young men from completely different strata of society and one fateful incident on Kolkata's Hooghly Bridge which changes their lives forever.

2006 Black - Sanjay Leela Bhansali Black revolves around a blind, deaf and mute girl(Rani), and her relationship with her teacher (Amitabh) who himself later suffers from Alzheimer's disease.

2007 Lage Raho Munna Bhai- Rajkumar Hirani It is the second film in the popular Munna Bhai series of Bollywood. Sanjay Dutt stars in this film as Munna Bhai, a Mumbai (Bombay) underworld don, who begins to see the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi. Through his interactions with the image of Gandhi, Munna Bhai begins to practice what he calls Gandhigiri (Satyagraha, non-violence, and truth) to help ordinary people solve their problems.

2008 Chak De! India - Shimit Amin Bollywood sports film about field hockey in India. It is produced by Yash Raj Films and stars Shahrukh Khan as Kabir Khan, the (fictional) former captain of the Indian national field hockey team.

2009 Mumbai Meri Jaan - Nishikanth Kamath It stars R. Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan, Irfan Khan, Paresh Rawal and Kay Kay Menon. It deals with the aftermath of the 11 July 2006 Mumbai train bombings, where 209 people lost their lives and over 700 were injured.

Bollywood Beauties at FIICI-IIFA Awards

The morning of 17th February,2009 saw the inauguration of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry or FICCI Frames 2009. This three-day long convention is a forum which gives a chance for leading names from media & entertainment industry to share a common platform with government representatives. The awards function which was held here last night to commemorate the 10th anniversary of FICCI-FRAMES and IIFA saw Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty -collecting their trophies while the other winners - Aamir Khan,Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan did not make it.
