Dev Anand’s production banner Navketan Films completes 60 years in 2009 and on this occasion the Indian government will be felicitating the evergreen actor.
Dev Anand will be felicitated by Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni at a function on the 3rd of September in Delhi called ‘Navketan at 60’.
Five of his films from the Navketan banner will be screened over three days which include Guide, Baazi, Taxi Driver,
Hum Dono and
Jewel Thief. Navketan has been making progressive films since 1949 and next in the offing is a film called Chargesheet . Each of the films whether Guide or Hare Rama Hare Krishna or Jewel Thief have had a cult fan-following and have been legendary. We have made films which look modern even today.
