Kamal Hassan film festival in Delhi

Actor Kamal Hassan has contributed a lot to Indian cinema. He has acted in several Hindi as well South Indian films. Now, a film festival titled ‘Retrospective of kamal Hassan Films’ has been organized in New Delhi. It’s a three days film festival from 2 July to 4 July 2010.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni will be inaugurating the film festival at the Siri Fort Auditorium. In the film festival seven movies will screen of Kamal Hassan and entry is free.

It will start with the Kamal Hassan’s Hey Ram and other six movies will be Virumaandi, Anbe Sivam, Thevar Magan, Nayagan and Dasavathaaram and one Telugu movie Sagar Sangamam.

  1. Dasavatharam is really a hard work from kamalhassan and it is hard to imagine that any actor would try for a movie like that today.

    But it is not a great movie along side the rest of the movies and is not a good choice for a film festival.

    If it is pathinaru vayadinile , a show case of his talent right from the beginning of his carrer, instead of dasavatharam then it would be fine for me. Here I am not badly critisising dasavatharam, it is a screen attempt of old stage performances where performers amazed spectators with different looks, different body languages and with different voice modulations.
