Indian Film Awards: 11th Mumbai Festival Fest


Mumbai is all set to boom with the 11th Mumbai Film Festival to be held from October 29 to Nov 5 2009. The grand event is organized by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image.

In the inaugural function of the Festival on October 29, Shashi Kapoor will receive the Indian lifetime achievement award. Shashi Kapoor is Indian film actor and producer who is remembered for his movies Deewar, Do Aur Do Paanch and Namak Halaal.

Another talented film maker to be awarded will be Greek film-maker Theo Angelopoulos who will be presented international lifetime award in closing ceremony on November 5.

The Mumbai festival was first organized in 2005 with the motive of developing a community festival of Mumbai. It is public private partnership under which NGO’s, Private parties, Government and related Authorities work collectively.
